Our dealership takes your privacy seriously. We have developed a privacy statement to help you understand the terms and conditions surrounding the collection and use of information we collect about and from you. This privacy statement ("Privacy Statement") discloses the types of information we gather, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

Guiding Principles:

Our dealership respects the privacy of individuals who visit our Web sites, send us e-mail or text, participate in features/services we offer online, visit us in person or communicate with us in person. Our dealership will take reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to safeguard and secure any information you provide to us (e.g. data will be stored in protected databases on secured servers with restricted access).

Scope

This Privacy Statement applies to information collected about you by as set forth in the below "Information We Collect" section, including through the websites, mobile applications, online services or programs where this Privacy Statement is posted or linked, and in person (our "Services"). Unless otherwise indicated, all references to "Dealership," "we" or "our" in this Privacy Statement means Carousel Online.

By using our Services, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Statement.   If you do not agree with these terms, please do not access or use our Services or submit any personal information to us.

Types of Information We May Collect

If you create an account, you will need to provide us with certain personally identifiable information and contact information.  You will need to give us accurate contact information, keep that contact information accurate, and set a unique password that you keep confidential.  When you access products and services through an account, we may collect information about your use of those products and services.

When you shop for or purchase products or services, we collect information you provide to us, including contact information, payment information, information about your vehicle, and other information that may identify you.  You should also review our Financial Privacy Notice.

If you provide information to an automobile manufacturer that we have a relationship with (for example, on the manufacturer's website), the manufacturer might provide your information to us.  You should review the manufacturer's privacy policy.

When you interact with our sales, service, and customer service representatives, communicate with us via email or phone, or use interactive portions of our site, we may collect the information that you provide to us.

The use of certain functionalities on our site may allow you to sign in using a third party social media log-in (such as Facebook).  If you do so, we will have access to some information about you within that account, as authorized by that third party's privacy policy and terms of service.  That third party may also obtain information about your activities on our site.  You may disable the connection between our platform and your third party account within your social media account.

If you shopped with us, purchased goods or services, visited our site, or communicated with us before the effective date listed above, this Privacy Statement applies to information we collected about you at that time.

If you provide information to us through our "Careers" tab, you will be redirected to a third-party site that will collect your information in accordance with its privacy policy.  The information we obtain about you in this process will be used to evaluate and process your application.

Information Collected Automatically

Cookies: Cookies are small text files stored by your browser that allow us to learn more information about your visit or use of our online Services. We may use cookies to remember your personal information, including your registration information, and to track your usage of our online Services over time. Most browsers automatically accept cookies. You have the choice to set your browser to accept or reject cookies. Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

Analytics Information: We may use third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for our online Services. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit and other information that assists us in improving our online Services. Log File Information: Log file information is automatically reported by your browser or mobile device each time you access our online Services. When you use our online Services, servers may automatically record certain log file information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with linked sites, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.

Clear Gifs/Web Beacons: When you use our online Services, we may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons) which are used to anonymously track your online usage patterns. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. This information facilitates more accurate reporting and improvement of our online Services.

Location Data: When you access our online Services via a mobile device, we may access, collect, monitor, and/or remotely store information regarding your mobile device, as well as real-time "location data," which may include GPS coordinates. Location data may convey to us information about how you browse and use our online Services. You may opt-out from allowing us to have access to your location data by adjusting the permissions in your mobile device, though some features of our online Services may not function properly if use or availability of location data is impaired or disabled.

Third-Party Advertising Tools: Third parties may deliver cookies to your computer or mobile or tablet device for the purpose of tracking your online behaviors across nonaffiliated sites and deliver targeted advertisements either on our site or on other websites.

Information We Receive From Third Parties. We may receive Information about you from third parties. For example, if you access our online Services through a third-party connection or log-in, the third party may pass certain information about your use of its service to us. We may also obtain other Information about you such as change of address, contact information, or demographic information from commercially or publicly available sources.

How we Use the Information That We Collect

We will use the information we collect to provide you with goods and services that you request, and to provide you information that you request.  If you choose to provide us with credit card information to make a purchase, you are directing us to provide your information to a payment processor so the transaction can be processed.

We may use the information we collect to provide you with promotional information we think you may be interested in. If you don't want to receive promotional materials from use you can contact us to opt out at any time. If you apply for employment, we will use your information to evaluate and process your application.

We do not sell, rent or lease mailing lists or other information to others, and we will not make your personal information available to any unaffiliated parties, except as follows.

·         To agents and/or contractors who may use it on our behalf or in connection with their relationship with us. These agents or contractors may have access to your information if needed to perform their functions, but may not use or disclose personally-identifying information for their own purposes.  They may, however, use de-identified data for business and analytics purposes.

·         To the manufacturer of your car, subject to the manufacturer's privacy policy.

·         In connection the use of third-party online analytics services as described above. 

·         To respond to your requests, or otherwise with your consent.

·         As required by law, in a matter of public safety or policy, as needed in connection with the transfer of our business assets (for example, if we are acquired by another company) or if we believe in good faith that sharing the data is necessary to protect our rights or property.

·         We may share information that does not identify you personally for any reason at our sole discretion.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control.  Because no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. We allow our employees and service providers to access your information only when the information is necessary for them to do their jobs. Our employees and service providers who have access to your information are required to protect it and keep it confidential.

If you have an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and managing your credentials. If you suspect that your credentials have been compromised, change your password. 

"Phishing" is a scam designed to steal your personal information. If you receive an e-mail that looks like it is from us asking you for your personal information, please notify us as provided below in the Contact Us section.

We will keep your information for as long as needed to provide you with our services and otherwise at our discretion or in accordance with applicable law.

Process to Correct Information

We do not sell your data to third parties, but you may opt out of any future sale of covered personally identifiable information. Please send an email message to carousel-online-optout@carouselmotor.com and let us know that you opt out of future sales.

Public Forums:

Our Site may make chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users at various times. Please remember that, unless otherwise stated, any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information in these areas.

Children's Information

We will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information personally identifiable information about a person who is under the age of 13, we will remove that information from our files.

We are an American Company so We Follow US Law

Our services are directed towards users who live in the United States. By establishing an account, making a purchase, or using the Site, you consent to the collection, storage, processing, and transfer of your information in pursuant to US law. We do not intentionally collect information from residents of the European Union.

Your Rights

Right to Know About Personal Information Collected, Disclosed, or Sold

You have the right to request that we disclose to you what Personal Information we collect, use, disclose, and sell. You may exercise this right by following the methods described under the subsection titled "Exercising Your Rights" below.

Right to Delete Personal Information

You have the right to request that we delete Personal Information we may have collected about you. You may exercise this right by following the methods described under the subsection titled "Exercising Your Rights" below.

Please be aware that we may not always be able to delete your Personal Information. For example, there may be business or operational reasons why we need to retain your Personal Information. If we deny your request to delete your Personal Information, we will inform you of the basis for our denial in our response to you.

Right to Non-Discrimination

You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment from us for exercising any of your rights described under this "Your Rights" section. This means we will not treat you differently for exercising any of the rights described above. Please note that a legitimate denial of a request for information, deletion, or to opt-out is not discriminatory, nor is charging a fee for excessive or repetitive consumer requests as permitted by the CCPA.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise your rights, you must submit a verifiable request to us. To submit a verifiable request, please follow one of the methods described below.

To verify your request, we will compare the pieces of information that you submit with your request to the Personal Information we have on file to confirm that the data we have identified corresponds to you, and that the person submitting the request is authorized to do so.

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. Pursuant to the CCPA:

·         Only a business entity or natural person registered with the California Secretary of State may act as an authorized agent.

·         You must provide the authorized agent written permission to exercise your rights under the CCPA on your behalf.

·         We may deny a request from an authorized agent on your behalf if the authorized agent does not submit proof that he, she, or it has been authorized by you to act on your behalf if we request such proof, as permitted by the CCPA.

·         Even if you use an authorized agent to exercise your rights under the CCPA on your behalf, pursuant to the CCPA we may still require that you verify your own identity directly to us.  This provision does not apply if you have provided with a power of attorney under California Probate Code sections 4000 to 4465.

We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond to your rights request within forty-five (45) days from the date we receive it.  In some cases, we may require additional time to complete your request and will inform you if additional time is needed.  Where additional time is needed, we may take up to a maximum of ninety (90) additional days to complete your request.

Shine the Light: California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of our Site who are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of their information to other parties for those parties' direct marketing purposes.
